Tactical Medic Course   

This intensive 40-hour Tactical Medicine course is designed for First Responders, EMS personnel, security professionals, law enforcement officers, and healthcare providers seeking specialized training in tactical emergency medical support (TEMS). Participants will gain the knowledge and practical skills necessary to provide medical care in high-threat and tactical environments.

10 hours of classroom instruction consists of:

  • Introduction to TEMS
  • History of TEMS
  • Benefits and Legal Aspects of TEMS
  • Methodology and Zones of Care
  • Emergency Medicine of TEMS
  • Mental Health of First Responders
  • Environmental Emergencies & Hazards
  • Cadaver Lab

30 hours of Tactical Team “Field Operations” includes:

  • Introduction to Tactical Team Operations
  • Tactical Team Movements
  • Explosive Ordinance & Breaching Techniques
  • Room Clearing
  • Hostage Rescue Operations
  • Introduction to Rescue Task Force Operations

Upon successful completion, participants will receive 40 hours of continuing education credit. This course is approved by the International Board of Specialty Certification (IBSC) as a recognized training program for Tactical Paramedic (TP-C) and Tactical Responder (TR-C) certification and recertification.
