This course has been approved by the International Board of Specialty Certification (IBSC) as a recognized training course. 10 hours of classroom instruction consists of: Introduction to TEMS, History of TEMSBenefits and Legal Aspects of TEMS, Methodology and Zones of Care, Emergency Medicine of TEMS, Mental Health of First Responders, Environmental Emergencies & Hazards, Cadaver Lab30 hours of Tactical Team “Field Operations” include: Introduction to Tactical Team Operations, Tactical Team Movements, Explosive Ordinance & Breaching Techniques Room Clearing, Hostage Rescue Operations, Introduction to Rescue Task Force OperationsGraduates are encouraged to participate in the International Board of Specialty Certification (IBSC) Tactical Paramedic (TP-C) or the Tactical Responder (TR-C) examination. This course has been approved by the IBSC for TP-C & TR-C training and recertification.40 hours of continued education are available at the completion of the course.
